Get to know Local Dog & Adventure Training!

Local Dog helps dogs and their people do more fun things together!

You and your dog are a team. Good teams communicate well with each other. That’s how they can trust, have fun, and explore the community. That’s what makes them a Local Dog!

When you and your pup train with Local Dog Training and Adventure, you’ll learn the mechanics needed to teach your dog to have good manners. You’ll get lots of one-on-one attention because we keep our classes small. You definitely won’t be bored.

Best of all, your dog will have good manners and know how to navigate the human world.

Every class is action-packed, supported by science, and feels like play time! With our background in teaching recreational and group fitness (to humans), we know how to keep you engaged and having fun.

Barking at kids. Chasing bikes. Jumping on visitors. Local Dog can Help!

These behaviors can be embarrassing and keep your dog stuck at home instead of out exploring with you. Let’s change that.

Local Dog focuses on proactive training and positive reinforcement helps dogs overcome these behaviors. We work with all breeds and ages of dogs. We can help you and your puppy successfully get through those fun puppy stages: biting, potty training, crate training and more. And we help reactive dogs who have fear and anxiety, who are limited in what they can do outside the home because of their behavior.

Dog training involves a lot of “human training” too. You’ll learn how to understand your dog’s form of communication–their body language. And you’ll learn ways you can improve communication with your dog to see more of the behaviors you like.

Our goal is for you to have a dog you can pal around town with.
